Otrivine Adult nasal drops is an effective decongestant which acts gently to clear a blocked nose within minutes and relieve excessive nasal secretions for up to ten hours. The effects start within minutes and last for up to ten hours. Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops are for local application in the nose to give symptomatic relief of: nasal congestion (including in colds), perennial and allergic rhinitis (including hay fever) and sinusitis.

Warnings and cautions

  • Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients of the drops, or to other decongestants you have had recent neurosurgery
  • The Adult Nasal Drops should not be used for infants or children under 12 years of age
  • If you are pregnant or taking other medicines or are under a doctor's care, consult your doctor before using Otrivine
  • Ask your doctor before using Otrivine if you have heart or circulatory disease
  • To avoid possible spread of infection, this pack should only be used by one person
  • This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist
  • Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies

How to use

  1. Clear the nose before use.
  2. Lean head back as far as is comfortable.
  3. Apply two or three drops to each nostril.

Active ingredients: Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% w/v.

Also contains: Sodium chloride, Sodium phosphate, Sodium acid phosphate, Disodium edetate, Benzalkonium chloride solution, Sorbitol, Hypromellose and Water.

Standard delivery

  • Delivered in 3-4 working days once the pharmacist approves your order 
  • Orders only approved Monday to Friday


Pharmacy Medicines delivery

Pharmacy Medicines will need to be signed for by someone aged 18 or over. If there isn't anyone in who can sign for your order, you can change your delivery date using the courier's website or app. The pharmacy team may need to contact you by phone for additional information. Please ensure that the contact details you provide during checkout are correct. If they are unable to reach you, the order may be cancelled.

Unfortunately, your order can't be left in a safe place, with a neighbour, or diverted to a ParcelShop. The courier will try to deliver it three times before they return it to us.

Purchasing in bulk/high unit volume

Please note that when purchasing high unit volumes of single lines (10+ units) delivery promotions are null and void.
This is a result of high-volume orders not being able to be dispatched via our normal third-party fulfilment.
As a result for any excessive bulk orders of single lines, we will be in touch regarding your order to discuss further delivery costs that will be incurred.
