Prescription FAQs

Who can use this service? Is it right for me?

expand_more

Pharmacy2U can take care of your NHS prescriptions, including repeat or one-off items. You just need to be registered with a GP in England. If you’d benefit from free home delivery and a handy app to request your medicines on the go, this service could be for you.

Pharmacy2U accepts prescription prepayment certificates and exemptions, as well as all major payment methods.

What do I need to register?

expand_more

You’ll be asked for the following information when you sign up:

  • Your name and date of birth

  • Your GP surgery details

  • What medicines you’re prescribed

If you know your NHS number, add this too. It can make the registration process even quicker.

What’s next after I’ve signed up?

expand_more

Once you’ve registered, Pharmacy2U will match your details with NHS database and send you a confirmation email when everything’s ready to place your first order. You can log in and have a look around your account. Here you can update your delivery preferences and set your reminders.

When should I place my order?

expand_more

Placing your prescription order online 10 working days before you need your medicine gives plenty of time for your GP to approve the request before Pharmacy2U checks, dispenses, and dispatches your items. They’ll then be delivered using Royal Mail’s Tracked service

The timeline is often much quicker than this, but 10 working days helps to make sure you don’t run out.

Can I set up reminders to order prescriptions online?
